Pliny the Younger Day

This Sunday was our second Pliny the Younger tasting. Pliny the Younger is a very rare, highly sought after Triple IPA that only comes out once a year. Lucky for us, Philadelphia is one of the only cities on the East Coast that gets kegs.

Pliny is made by Russian River Brewing Company and tappings are usually accompanied by releases of other more readily available Russian River beers. This year we decided to try our luck at Bishops Collar.

The line was pretty long when we showed up, but we managed to get two of the last four tickets.

Pliny the Younger, 2013

Great photobomb! The bar was completely packed inside, we couldn't get past the front door. We were one of the last few people to get our tasters but people kept trying. Someone even offered me $20 for a sip of my beer!

Here are some cute little birds on our way home from the bar. They're the dark little blobs in the bush. We have a flock of them living on our porch this winter. I set up a bird feeder so they can keep that cat entertained, he likes to chirp at them.
