I'm a bad blogger.

So its been over a month since my last post, but I have excuses! First, a month long Christmas Break, then my last Rush Week. For those of you that don't know, I'm in Pi Phi, a national sorority that has a chapter at Washington and Lee. Anyway, as a senior I'm being phased out from my old office so I have lots of free time.. Yay! I'll try and use all this new time to post more often!

So let me explain about my family Christmas tradition. We don't do presents. Well not really. Instead we all go down to the Bahamas and have some much needed relaxation and a little family togetherness. Its not as cheesy as it sounds, actually it gets pretty cutthroat with vicious board games and the annual flipper race. The flipper race is exactly what it sounds like... sprints in flippers.

This year we also played a game of capture the flag which is rough when each side only has two people, you're running in sand and through sand burrs. Kevin and I were victorious but Andi and Jeff dispute the win.

This was also Kevin's first trip down to Long Island. He loved it and even spotted a shark while we were out swimming. Andi and Jeff passed their first underwater digital camera on to me and I was lucky enough to spot this little guy:

It's a baby triggerfish living in an abandoned conch shell. I love how bright the stripes are on him! We also saw some octopus, lots of sea turtles and plenty of lion fish. Lion fish in the Bahamas are an invasive species so you're supposed to kill them when you find them... Personally, I don't want to mess with the spines.

I'm not sure what my favorite part of the trip was... Probably getting my LSAT score back while sipping a Guinness at Max Conch's Bar, listening to Christmas carols and eating conch fritters. It was a great trip.
