Riding the Staten Island Ferry

The Statue of Liberty is somewhere in the background
Our ferry boat had a machine gun Coast Guard escort
After we stepped off the Ferry we went for a walk in Battery Park and stumbled across a turkey walking around. Apparently her name is Zelda and she's lived in Battery Park for a few years.

Bad cat climbed the fridge

Julius has discovered a new perch, the very very top of our kitchen cabinets where I can't reach him. I'd be fine with him perching up there if it weren't for the glassware he endangers every time he hops up. I'm guessing that I'll be losing this fight.

Bridal shower cake

I made a cake for my cousin's bridal shower this weekend. I think it turned out pretty well!

Brooklyn Botanical Garden with Andi and Jeff

First signs of Spring!

The first little crocus have started to appear at Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Thank goodness, I need some warmth!

The New York Half Marathon

I ran the NYC half marathon on March 16 and finished with a time of 1 hr 48 minutes which is 8:27 per mile. I'm thrilled with my time especially since I spent the last few weeks taking it easy due to foot pain. Next up, the Broad Street Run in May!
